Conferences

Mission - The conference mission is to provide a structure for exchanging ideas and information regarding the utilization of high technology in managing the physical facilities of higher education institutions. These institutions face unique challenges that are well suited for the application of vector-graphics—based information systems. Unlike campuses of commercial corporate facilities, universities and colleges have strict reporting requirements associated with federal research grants. They also face the challenge of maintaining infrastructure amid shrinking budgets. As technology grows more complex to meet the exigencies of this complex environment, it becomes more important for us to share our experiences so we all are not constantly "reinventing the wheel."

The conference has traditionally garnered the attention of such industry notables as AutoCAD and Archibus. These vendors view this conference as an important vehicle for staying in touch with their clients' needs. It is in this spirit of open communication that the conference hopes to ease the move to 21st century management of educational facilities.
